Hey Wildcats fans, Brendan MacRitchie here. We as a team and the MHL are acknowledging the ‘Week of Reconciliation’ across the league. As a member of the Miawpukek First Nation, it is an honor to be a part of this and to be a part of an organization that takes the ‘Every Child Matters’ movement so seriously.
We are recognizing all the young children that attended residential schools and those that did not make it home. This week is about learning, not only as a team, but as a nation. This is a time to reflect on the past as it helps us to understand the present. And even though it is called the ‘Week of Reconciliation’, Reconciliation is a process that is ongoing and should continue for generations to come.
