Wildcats Hosting Important 3 Games In 3 Days

The Valley Wildcats are set to make an important homestand this weekend as they go Friday, Saturday and Sunday consecutively.  South Shore begins the weekend Friday night, followed by Yarmouth Saturday and finishing off the grind with Amherst on Sunday afternoon.

This is a big divisional weekend for the Wildcats who currently sit third in the Eastlink South division with 24 points and look to cut into the lead of second place Amherst (33 pts) and the division leading Yarmouth Mariners (34 pts).

So far this year it’s been team Captain Luke Wilson setting the tone for the squad with a team leading 29 points in 22 games played.  His ten goals have been impressive but it’s been the nineteen assists that usually have fans in arenas around the league buzzing with his passing acumen.  Wilson’s linemate Felix Laniel has been no slouch either, recording 25 points so far on the campaign to go with his physical play.  Laniel is especially potent on the power-play netting 5 markers this year with the man advantage.

Having success on a 3-in-3 stretch is only possible by having a goaltending tandem that can share the load.  The Wildcats have just that in Antoine Lyonnais (7-4-2-0) and Justin Bourque (4-6-0-0).  Lyonnais speed and agility in goal has been a major factor in the team success this season; and despite his current record Bourque has had some stellar nights in goal and been on the tough end of several close contests where he kept the team in it.  Both netminders bring a distinct style to throw at opponents which will come in handy for Coach Benedict this weekend.

Come join us at the Kings Mutual Century Centre for a big December weekend for your Wildcats.  Game times are: Friday – 7:00pm,  Saturday – 7:30pm & Sunday – 3:00pm.

Tickets as always can be purchased in advance online at showpass.com/wildcatstickets
