The Valley Wildcats made a trade with the Summerside Western Capitals on October 18th. The Wildcats acquired Braycen Dube, 18 year old forward from Cranbrook, BC and Dahnte Nackoney, 18 year old defenceman from Penticton, BC. The Wildcats also receive a 1st round pick in 2024 and future considerations. In return, Summerside acquire goaltender Chad Arsenault, 20 year old, who played the last few seasons in the QMJHL with Acadie-Bathurst. His last presence in the MHL was with the Wildcats in 2019-20 where he went 5-21-2 with a 4.38 GAA and a 0.907 SV%.
Dube appeared in 6 games with Summerside this year and has 1 goal while Nackoney has played 4 games and looking for his first point in the MHL.
