The Bage Valley Jr. A Wildcats are very excited to announce the hiring of Danny Braun as Assistant General Manager, effective immediately. Braun will work alongside General Manager and Head Coach Jesse MacLean.
Originally from Plaster Rock, New Brunswick, Braun brings more than three decades of experience in the Maritime Hockey League through both coaching and executive roles.
Throughout his career, Braun has coached within Hockey New Brunswick’s Program of Excellence, including roles with Team New Brunswick at the Canada Games in 1990, 2003, and 2007. He also coached with Team Atlantic U17 in 1993 and 1995.
From 2003 to 2006, Braun served as Director of Player Personnel before moving into General Manager positions with the Woodstock Slammers and later the Grand Falls Rapids, where he remained through the 2024–25 season.
As a General Manager, Braun has helped lead teams to three league championships, a Fred Page Cup championship, and a runner-up finish at the National Championship Royal Bank Cup.
Braun is also the Founder, President, and CEO of the World Pond Hockey Championship in Plaster Rock, NB. Held annually on Roulston Lake, the tournament features 20 outdoor rinks and welcomes approximately 100 teams from around the world each year.
