The Valley Wildcats have concluded their MHL regular season schedule in 4th place of the Eastlink South Division. Their record of 19-16-2-1 pits them against the Division-leading Yarmouth Mariners in Round 1. The Mariners compiled a regular season mark of 24-8-4-1.
While Yarmouth may hold the edge in regular season meeting wins at 4-2, three of the six games between the two clubs were decided by a single goal. This is set to be a hotly contested series. Wildcats Captain Luke Wilson has been the squad’s top performer against Yarmouth this season, scoring four goals and seven points overall in the matchup. Reilly Mayne has paced the Mariners this season with four goals and two assists versus the Cats’ this year.
