The Bage Valley Jr. A Wildcats are excited to announce the acquisition of 2006-born defenseman Jack Brown from the Edmundston Blizzard.
Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 205 pounds, Brown joins the Wildcats after appearing in 164 MHL games over the past three seasons, including a deep playoff run with the Blizzard this spring.
During his three-year MHL career, Brown has recorded 9 goals and 30 assists for 39 points while establishing himself as a dependable presence on the blue line.
“Jack is exactly the type of addition we wanted to bring into our defensive core for the upcoming season,” said General Manager and Head Coach Jesse MacLean. “He brings a style of hockey that fits perfectly with the direction we want to go as we continue building toward success this year. Jack is a true 200-foot defenseman who can be relied upon in all situations, at any point in the game. When you combine those attributes with the experience Brownie brings to this league, you really couldn’t ask for much more on the back end.”
Brown is eager to get started with the organization and is counting down the days until he makes the move to the Valley. He also had a simple but powerful message for Wildcats fans: “Nothing is better than an underdog story.”
Welcome to the Valley, Jack!
