In a pre-draft blockbuster, the Valley Wildcats have acquired forward Brady Burke from the Campbellton Tigers in exchange for a 2024 1st round draft pick (5th overall).
Burke, a 2006-born forward, was selected 8th overall by Campbellton in last years draft, and was a force in the Nova Scotia U18 Major Hockey League this past season tallying 23G, 19A (42P) in 34 games played, putting him 7th in overall league scoring. The 5’10, 175lb forward also was named to the NSU18MHL Second Team All-Star team this past season.
“We’re getting a 200-foot player who can do a bit of everything for us up front” says General Manager Brandon Benedict. “He can score, plays with grit, and will be able to help us on both sides of the puck. On top of that, Brady is a person with high character, and will be a welcome addition to our group.”
Welcome to the Valley, Brady!
