The Bage Valley Wildcats have announced a major trade, acquiring forwards Victor Lanoue, Jacob Pineau, Jonah Ellis, & Nathan Morgan from the West Kent Steamers in exchange for forward Jude Campbell & the rights to forward Tyler Wood.
Lanoue & Pineau join the Cats after spending the first part of this season with the Steamers. Victor Lanoue, a 19-year-old winger who hails from La Prairie, QC, has had success thus far in his rookie MHL season, producing 18 points (4G, 14A) in 24 games. Prior to playing in the MHL, Lanoue spent two seasons in the QCHL with the College Champlain Lennoxville Cougars. Jacob Pineau, an 18-year-old, 6’2 forward from Riverview, NB is currently in his first year of junior hockey, suiting up for 18 games with the Steamers this season. Prior to joining the Steamers, Pineau played two years with the Moncton Flyers U18 Majors, tallying a career 85 points in 72 regular season games. Pineau also has experience playing at the National level with 7 games played last season in the Telus Cup with the Flyers.
The Wildcats also acquired 16-year-old defensive prospects Jonah Ellis & Nathan Morgan in the deal. Ellis, a 6’2, 215lb d-man currently plays with the CB West Islanders U18 Majors, and has produced 11 points in 20 games played. Ellis was drafted 67th overall by the Steamers in this past 2025 MHL Entry Draft.
