TRADE: Wildcats Acquire Forward Arsenault, Defenceman Breen from West Kent

The Bage Valley Wildcats have acquired forward Michael Arsenault, and defenceman Joseph Breen from the West Kent Steamers in exchange for forward Dawson Grandy, defenceman Max Hanley, and a 2025 1st round draft pick (Summerside).

Arsenault, a 2006-born forward from Cornwall PEI, joins the Wildcats after splitting last season with the West Kent Steamers, and the Rimouski Oceanic (QMJHL). In 19 regular season games with the Steamers, Arsenault collected 11 points (5 goals, 11 assists), as well as 1 assist in 4 playoff games. Prior to his rookie MHL season, Arsenault suited up for 21 games with the U18 Kensington Wild during 2023-24, tallying 37 points (18G, 19A), helping the Wild take home an Atlantic Championship.

Breen, a 2008-born defenceman from Bedford, NS adds value to the Wildcats prospect pool. Breen split last season with the March and Mill Co Hunters U18 Majors (NSU18MHL), as well as the Sackville Blazers (NSJHL), tallying 7 points and 24 penalty minutes in 38 combined regular season games.
