The Bage Valley Wildcats have acquired defenceman Joe Wiseman from the Fredericton Red Wings in exchange for a 2025 5th round draft pick (Truro), a 2026 5th round draft pick (Campbellton), and future considerations.
Wiseman, a 2006-born d-man from Corner Brook, NL, joins the Cats in this his rookie MHL season.
In 24 games with the Red Wings, the left-shot Wiseman tallied 1 assist along with 21 penalty minutes. Prior to making the jump to the MHL, Wiseman suited up for 85 games with the NLU18MHL’s Western Kings U18 AAA club, where he captained his final season. In his U18 career, Wiseman produced 9 goals, 34 assists (43 points).
