Kohltech Major Midget Wildcats – Season Award Winners

The Kohltech Major Midget Valley Wildcats have announced their Award Winners from the 2019/2020 season.

The Team MVP Award goes to the player who had the greatest impact to the team. Voted on by the players and coaches, the Team MVP Award goes to Blake Deacon.

Voted on solely by the players, the Player’s Choice Award goes to the players that most exemplifies what it means to be a good teammate both on and off the ice. The Player’s Choice Award goes to Dylan Schofield.

Two players are sharing the Community Involvement Academic Athletic Award. This award goes to the player who demonstrates a commitment to bettering their community, excelling in the classroom, is a leader at their school, and exhibits strong athletic achievement. Voted on by the coaches and players, this award goes to both Dylan Manning and Ethan Black.

The Rookie of the Year Award goes to the best first year NSMMHL player, and was voted on by both the players and coaches. This year’s Rookie of the Year Award goes to Aidan MacLeod.

The Coaches Award goes to the player who demonstrates what it truly means to be a Valley Wildcat every day. The player is extremely hard working, always brings a positive attitude, energy, and influence to the team. Voted on by the coaches, the Coaches Award goes to Justin Banks.

And the Defensive Player of the Year goes to the player who made the biggest commitment to the defensive side of the game. Voted on by the players and coaches, the Defensive Player of the Year Award goes to Carter Hood.
