Cole Kirkup Commits to Northland College

Valley Junior A Wildcats forward, Cole Kirkup, has announced his commitment to play for the Northland College Lumberjacks for the 2020/20201 hockey season.

The 20 year old winger from Souris, Manitoba joined the Wildcats in early September 2019, just in time for the MHL season. He was acquired from the Humboldt Broncos of the SJHL. Kirkup was brought in to provide grit and leadership. He did those things, but also blossomed into an offensive leader. Kirkup led the team in scoring with 33 points, notching 9 goals and a team leading 24 assists. He was also second in the Maritime Hockey League with 202 penalty minutes.

Northland College is located in Ashland, Wisconsin, and was established in 1892. The Lumberjacks compete in NCAA Division III as part of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in hockey.

The Wildcats Hockey Organization thanks Cole for his hard work and dedication to our program, and wish him nothing but the best in his future education and hockey career.
