BAGE VALLEY WILDCATS ACQUIRE ASH MITCHELMORE!

The Bage Valley Junior A Wildcats are very excited to announce that we have acquired 2006-born forward Ash Mitchelmore from the Dauphin Kings of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
A native of St. Philips, Newfoundland, Mitchelmore returns to the Maritimes for his final season of junior hockey after spending the past few seasons playing away from home.
Last season with the Dauphin Kings, Mitchelmore recorded an impressive 10 goals and 20 assists for 30 points in 57 games, while adding 27 penalty minutes.
Prior to his time in the MJHL, he spent his rookie season with the Caledonia Admirals of the OJHL, where he posted 6 goals and 10 assists for 16 points in 55 games, along with 33 penalty minutes.
A graduate of the Notre Dame Hounds U18 program, the 6’0”, 165-pound forward brings a combination of size, skill, grit, and a reliable 200-foot game to an already exciting Wildcats forward group.
“We are very excited to bring in someone like Ash to our hockey club this season. Ash is a player that our fans and communities are going to love. He has the size, the skill, the speed, and the willingness to play a 200-foot game. Those are all very important qualities that we need to be a successful hockey team this year.” – General Manager & Head Coach Jesse MacLean
We are thrilled to welcome Ash and his family to the Wildcats organization and can’t wait to welcome him to Berwick next month.
Welcome to the Cats, Ash!
